Individuals are encouraged to participate in Central Trade & Transfer’s(CTT) auctions with the assistance of a professional who is familiar with the securities industry and non-traded  REITs. If you do not currently have a relationship with such a professional, please email at info@cttauctions.com or call us at (877) 704-6737, and we will be happy to assist you, or introduce you to a professional at another broker-dealer with which we have a professional working relationship.

 

After registering with CTT, sellers will be provided with CTT’s listing agreement and additional information including, CTT’s transaction history and other information through CTT’s strategic relationships, that may educate and assist them as they work with their professional advisor to set an acceptable reserve price for specific non-traded REIT shares. The listing agreement permits sellers to select the duration of the auction and set the reserve price for the auction. Because CTT fully administers the auctions, once the auctions begin, sellers and their professionals are not required to have further involvement, though they are, of course, able to monitor each auction’s progress.

 

Prospective buyers who register with CTT are able to participate in auctions, and they are able to place bids throughout the duration of each auction. As with sellers, prospective buyers who have registered with CTT may also benefit from CTT’s transaction history and other educational information, as they counsel with their professional advisors to determine how much they are willing to pay for shares of a particular non-traded REIT. There is no limit to the number of bids a prospective buyer may make during an auction, and as with many other traditional auctions, the buyer with the highest bid at the end of the auction wins the auction and the shares of the non-traded REIT.
